Garvan Institute gets its own treatment
One of Australia’s leading medical research facilities was having problems with too much reverberation.
This can be common in buildings where the architect and builder have not taken acoustics into account sufficiently for the type of tenant that will be using a building.
Noise reduction in heritage listed building in Rockdale
We are contracted by the NSW Heritage works to come in and do a particular job for a heritage listed building.
The air-conditioning ducts were too noisy and detracting from the experience of being in the building. Heritage buildings have more stringent roles and regulations around upgraded, fixes and modifications. So we had to be careful to make the soundproofing solution as subtle as possible.
Psychology practice gets the full soundproof treatment for patient privacy
Most offices these days are not built with the specific purpose in mind of the tenant. Some business and professions require more privacy and acoustic isolation than others.
Psychologists, in particular require quiet, calm and peaceful environments in which to see patients.
They also need to resect the patient’s privacy am d,ake sure that anything said in a psychology session is not going to travel through the walls and be heard by other people in other rooms or other parts of the building.
Sydney Boutique Agency gets the acoustic treatment to sound great

Uniting Venues echo and reverberation problems solved
We were called in to take care of a particular problem caused by high ceilings and smooth surfaces, that caused a lot of reverberation and echoing around the building.
As you can see in the photos, we addressed the issue with a number of carefully place acoustic baffles.
In high pedestrian traffic areas and classrooms, the noise was making it uncomfortable for staff and visitors and also making concentration difficult with voices being muddied with too much reflection off the walls.

Typical residential noise problem of noisy neighbours
Sydney is a vibrant and energetic city, projected to grow significantly over the coming years. Though it is often wonderful to live in such a dynamic environment, noise pollution in one's living space can be a hefty price to pay.
Many people have decided to take control of the situation, and reclaim their peaceful home environment. Charles from Mosman shared with us what he has gained from his recent investment into our services!
I obtained several quotes to treat our bedroom wall to reduce the sound from the neighbour's bedroom.
Jan Munzar from Action Soundproofing provided what I consider the best technical solution, and the result has been fantastic.
His work was meticulous and professional, contributing to a satisfying outcome.
Thanks again Jan.
Regards,
Charles
Soundproofing Posibilities - Sensitive Neighbours
Sometimes the most effective way to prevent noise from entering your home is to complain to your neighbours when they are causing a disturbance. Parties, for example, can be very difficult to block out if they are directly above or below your apartment.
On the other hand, if you plan on making a lot of noise on a regular basis it might be sensible to take precautions to avoid upsetting sensitive neighbours! People setting up home theaters or practising certain instruments regularly are examples of who we get these enquiries from.
If you feel limited in your activities because of your neighbours, please contact us so we can provide you with further assistance.
Soundproofing Possibilities - Apartment Noise
We have a lot of apartment blocks in Sydney. It makes sense, considering our cost of living can be higher than Hong Kong, or even New York City!
Unfortunately apartments can have serious noise issues and we often receive enquiries regarding noise from footfall, voices & shouting, and TV & music noise.
If you're having a similar problem or have any enquiries, please contact us so we can assist you further. Apartments don't have to be noisy, and we have already cured these exact problems permanently for many people!
"Soundproofing for New York Noise"

We've found a fantastic article about soundproofing in New York. It describes the incredible improvements to life that were possible due to soundproofing. Here's a snippet:"Katherine Gleason, a writer in New York, was suffering from lack of sleep because of her upstairs neighbors. It wasn’t just the shooting noises and sirens from what she assumed were epic XBox tournaments, or the arguments or even the 4 a.m. Bee Gees singalongs that were the most disconcerting.
"I could hear their dogs breathing," she said. ...
"About 380 square feet of ceiling was treated with mass-loaded vinyl and hung on springs. Radiator pipes were placed in sound-isolating mounts. ... “It’s incredibly worth it. I sleep through the night,” Ms. Gleason said. “It was either that or move.”
As Sydney continues to develop and its population continues to grow, noise is becoming a problem for more and more residents. If you are having problems with noisy neighbours, heavy traffic or aircraft and are looking for a soundproofing solution, contact us!
Anglicare Telopea Project
We were called in to solve a range of acoustic and soundproofing issues at Anglicare’s Telopea office. They had a training room with so much echo that it was affecting everyone’s ability to concentrate and hear what was going on. There was also some problems with sound transferring into closed rooms, making sensitive or private conversations a problem but also creating distractions for workers. With a number of different approaches, we were able to sole the problems to a very satisfactory standard, as the testimonial that we received from their executive manager indicates.
This is the work that was carried out:
- Acoustically rated door seals to existing doors
- New acoustically rated double door + acoustically rated door seals
- Sound absorptive panels for walls and ceilings

"Thank you for the excellent work completed in our Telopea office. The acoustic improvements to our work environment are amazing; I have received a lot of positive feedback from workers. The reduction of echo in our training room is such a relief. The sound absorbing panels, whether on the wall or ceiling, are very discreet but so effective.
"I appreciate too your availability to do the work on the weekends to minimise disruption. So thanks again for your initial assessment and advice and for the subsequent reliable and efficient work you achieved."
Kind regards,
Jackie Palmer
